The Writing's on the Cake!

peggysbillies.jpg

I usually use a parchment bag filled with buttercream icing to write on cakes but I have used a pastry bag with a writing tip inserted. I like the parchment bags because I have more control over the size the hole I will be writing with.

I hold the bag like this. That way I can squeeze and apply pressure at the top to control how fast the frosting comes out. This is why I twist the top of my parchment bags instead of folding.

And begin to write...

Until you have a word

Of course, the first time you try this it will probably not look the way you want it to. So practice...

Practice, Practice!

Soon you will be as comfortable writing with frosting and a parchment bag as you are writing with a pen and pencil!
